Leigh Scibetta PTA is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, graduating in 1992, and one of only seven CKTP® (Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner) in the state of Georgia. Her career path began in neurology; treating patients recovering from TBI (traumatic brain injury), CVA (stroke), SCI (spinal cord injury), and other neurological conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She enjoys treating patients with vestibular dysfunction and balance problems as well as incorporating aquatic therapy with both neurological and orthopedic patient populations. Since working in outpatient orthopedics she has seen the unifying effect that her knowledge of both neurologic and orthopedic conditions has yielded toward positive patient outcomes. Leigh is constantly striving for improved methods of returning her patients to an optimal level of function by regularly attending continuing education courses and has been a Clinical Instructor with several Southeastern PTA programs; proving her belief "that the better the therapist is educated and open to new avenues of treatment, then the better the patient is educated and thus helped".
