As an occupational therapist, I have helped clients with orthopedic conditions, pulmonary disorder, neurological conditions, memory loss
As on OT, my focus of treatment was to help clients/ Residents regain strength, functional balance, promote their hand function strength/ fine motor skills, help memory recall / judgement/ problem solving skills ( thru Montessori based activities),provide education on endurance training/ energy conservation/ vision compensatory techniques/ strategies to overall enhance/help them regain their independence with theirs ADLs/ IADLs ( with DME recommendations as needed) & ensure safety with functional mobility & prevent falls.
